Treasurer

Anne Gleeson, BSN, RNC-NIC

Anne grew up on Long Island on the east coast, graduated with a BSN from Cornell School of Nursing in 1976, and started working in the NICU at Cornell-New York Hospital in NYC. After hearing about how wonderful Los Angeles was from her husband Tony, she moved to LA sight unseen on their first anniversary in 1977. She worked at Cedars Sinai in the NICU for under a year, transferred to the NICU at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles in November, 1977 and has been there ever since.

In her almost 38 years in the NICCU at CHLA, she has worked in the clinical arena and earned her Clin IV designation. She was part of the ECMO team, and is also a PALS and NRP instructor. She is very involved with clinical documentation and the electronic medical record. She is presently the co-chair of the hospital wide Clinical Practice Council and is a Lead RN in the NICCU.

Anne has been a member of CoCANN since 2008. She is the daughter of a CPA, which should help to qualify her for the job of Treasurer.

 Secretary

Judi Foote-Merryman, BSN, RNC – NIC

Judith Foote-Merryman (Judi) has been a Neonatal Intensive Care nurse for more than 27 years.

Judi attended USC School of Nursing and graduated with honors in 1986. Her first years out of nursing school she quickly honed her mursing skills caring for medical surgical patients at Valley Hospital Medical Center in Van Nuys, CA. and quickly learned how to organize her care while overseeing 5-7 postoperative patients at a time. Since a very young age in life Judi had always wanted to be a midwife or nurse helping mothers and newborns, so from there Judi sought experience in a Newborn Nursery. She found an opportunity for this dream for 2 years in the NICU at Valley Presbyterian Hospital, and after this short stint she was hired at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles in 1990. During her time at CHLA Judi has functioned as mentor, preceptor, resource to new RN graduates, and as a valuable member of the NICU ECMO team for 23 years.

Judi is excited to serve as CoCANN secretary, and is looking forward to meeting and serving our membership.
